Rand R. Kunihisa, 42, of Wahiawa, HI passed away on June 8, 2017 in Wahiawa, HI. He was born on June 26, 1974 in Wahiawa. His legacy lives on through his longtime companion, Lorraine Bejer; daughter Skylah Kunihisa (17); son Landon McKenna Kunihisa (12); his father Bernard Kunihisa (deceased); his mother Rua Winston; stepfather Orlando Winston; sister Kiana Winston; brothers Kyle Kunihisa and Demar Winston.
Rand was an entertainer and loved music. He was formerly in a band called Island Rhythms. He played the conga and a vocalist/rapper.
Rand will be especially remembered for his quick wit, no nonsense, very boisterous personality. He made everyone laugh with his rowdy, obnoxious, funny behavior. He was an active and loving father. Supported his children with all of their sports events. Loved his companion Lorraine Bejer for 23 years.
Although he suffered multiple illnesses at age 26, he never let it define him nor kept him down. He was free spirited.
Memorial Services are being handled by the Ballard Family Moanalua Mortuary on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 10:00 am-2:00 pm. Visitation are from 10:00 am -11:30 am, program starts at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations.
