Obituary for Valdeen Kehaulani "Val" Manu (Pau)

Valdeen Kehaulani Manu, 57 of Hau’ula, ‘Oahu, passed away on Nov. 10th, 2016.
She is survived by her loving husband, Aiulu Manu Jr, daughters Kini, Aulani, Anela, Analani, Alaka’i, grandchildren, Miki, Honu, Mano, Kamalii, and her many hanai children.
She was the daughter of the late David Kekai “Blackie” Pau and Josephine Leinani Pau, and sister to Rayleen Cartwright, Gwendolyn Balino, Jeff Pau, Rocky Pau (deceased), and Carolyn Pau Kaina.
Val worked with children with Autism for the Windward School Dist., and loved finding the light in every child. Aside from her love for her ‘ohana, she loved hula, and was a professional hula dancer in Japan in the late 70’s to early 80’s. She loved creating, and above all she loved her family. She will be greatly missed.

Services will be held on Saturday, the 26th of November, at the Hauula Makai Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Viewing will be from 9 AM to 10 AM, service will be at 11 AM with a luncheon to follow. Casual, aloha attire.
The family also ask that visitors do not take photos of Val. Cremation to follow at Ballard Family Mortuary, and her ashes will be scattered at a later date.
