Mariano "Marty" Viernes, 78, of Ewa Beach, Hawaii passed away at Queens Medical Center on July 16, 2016. He is retired from the Air Force. He was born on April 19, 1938 in Waimea, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Jean; sons Daniel P. Viernes and Edward Shaffer; brother Rosario (Nancy) and sister Helen Santos (Jesus). Also one grandchild Jayden. Services will be held on Friday August 12, 2016 at Ballard Family Moanalua Mortuary visitation is at 9am; services 10am; Burial to follow at Hawaii State Verterans Cemetery in Kaneohe at 1pm.
